Stockbroker for hipsters crowdfunds start-up

Shane Leonard, a former equity analyst with Credit Suisse and investment banker with CitiGroup, has raised €650,000 by crowdfunding for his new ‘millennials’ stock market start-up called Stockflare.

The fundraising from 285 individual investors has put a valuation of over €2 million on the company which aims to make buying and selling shares easier by delivering easy-to-understand financial data to retail investors.
