Statsports seeks fresh cash ahead of global expansion

Newry-based sports technology company Statsports plans to seek venture capital funding this summer to assist it in expanding into North America and Asia.

Statsports secured a €1.14 billion deal with the United States Soccer Federation and it is understood to be close to signing a similarly large deal with another client.

Jarlath Quinn, the chief executive of Statsports, told The Sunday Business Post: “Our company has always been profitable and experienced year-on-year growth.
