State bankers to get €10,000 bonuses for helping other banks

State banking executives are in line for bonuses of up to €10,000 - for helping other banks to lend money.

The Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) does not lend directly to Irish businesses, but instead has supplied €920 million to Irish banks to lend out on its behalf at lower interest rates.
