State aversion to tax incentives are a knee-jerk reaction

Ministers need not be allergic to the idea of tax breaks, as long as lessons learned are taken on board

The US tax return preparation firm Jackson Hewitt recently surveyed American taxpayers on attitudes to tax reform. Remember, there were changes for individuals as well as the changes for companies that have been grabbing the headlines over here, and many of those people will be filing their 2017 tax returns over the next few months.
