CityJet to be bigger regional player after Spanish deal

The Dublin-based carrier and Spain's Air Nostrum say their new company will have a combined fleet of almost 100 aircraft and annual revenues of around €700m

Dublin-based regional airline CityJet has announced plans to join forces with Spanish carrier Air Nostrum. The move is the latest step in CityJet’s expansion programme since founder Pat Byrne returned to lead the company in 2014.

The airlines said they planned to set up a new umbrella holding company for the venture, subject to regulatory approvals.
