Smurfit Kappa first-half profits up 28 per cent
Group optimistic as interim dividend raised by 10 per cent
Paper and packaging group Smurfit Kappa has reported a pre-tax profit of €312m for the first half of this year, up 28 per cent on the same period last year. Revenue was little changed at €4 billion but margins were higher.
For the second quarter, revenue was also flat at €2 billion, while pre-tax profits rose by 27 per cent to €184m.
