Smurfit Kappa buys British business

✽ Irish packaging giant Smurfit Kappa has agreed to buy UK-based print business Inspirepac for £43.5 million.

The British company, which employs 279 people, is owned by the Logson Group and operates two packaging plants in England. Smurfit Kappa said the deal, which is expected to be finalised in the second quarter of the year, was likely to enhance earnings immediately.
