Smurfit Kappa boxing clever as costs jump
Strong demand means company can raise its prices to cope with cost pressure
Paper and packaging group Smurfit Kappa has reported a drop in earnings for the first half of this year, as higher costs put pressure on its margins.
Pre-tax profits for the first six months were €245m, down 21 per cent from the €312m recorded in the same period last year.
