Ireland’s largest ever free-standing sign has been erected in Dublin’s Point Village Shopping Centre. The 50 foot by 11 foot sign, which required local authority planning approval, will promote the centre.

Created by corporate signage company Gaelite Signs, the sign took 600 hours to design and produce, and another 160 hours to assemble. It took a team of ten men to install the sign, together with a tandem lift of two cranes and a hiab with qualified banksman and a traffic management company.

In total, the sign weighs 15 tonnes.
