Shift in jobs market as power swings back to workers
Recruitment site CEO criticises poor hiring practices during downturn
“Power in the jobs market is returning to jobseekers,” according to Jane Lorigan, chief executive of Saongroup.com Ireland, parent company of IrishJobs.ie.
The latest jobs index from IrishJobs.ie records a 14 per cent rise in the total number of jobs advertised annually.
Graduate jobs are also up 15 per cent year on year and there is growth across a variety of sectors.
