Serious entrepreneurs don’t build a company just to sell it

Hindsight is 20/20 for founders when it comes to the right time to sell, writes Leanna Byrne

When you cover any industry you’ll inevitably have people complain to you. The Irish start-up scene is “too small”, “unambitious” and is “full of founders looking to sell”.

I think the first two criticisms are a little harsh, but as for the last, it’s come up often enough for me to write about it.
