RTE radio attracts the over 45s, while younger listeners stay local

Radio’s age divide is showing. The over-45s are bolstering RTE, but the youth market is starting to pick up.

Last week’s Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) report showed that, for the 15 to 34 age bracket, local and regional radio commands a clear majority share at 65.1 per cent.
