RSA cut 100 jobs in Ireland last year following losses

The struggling insurance company RSA cut about 100 jobs in Ireland last year.

The company initiated the cost-cutting drive following the discovery of massive losses in its Irish operations. The company offered staff voluntary redundancy, with a package of roughly six weeks’ pay for every year of service.

The British firm’s annual report last week showed its headcount in Ireland fell to 828 from 920.
