Rothwell nets €4.7m from Irish Continental Group share sale

Irish Continental Group chief executive Eamonn Rothwell’s stake in the company rose to 15.2 per cent after he exercised share options worth €7.3 million.

Rothwell drew down two tranches of shares as part of his executive bonus scheme, which cost him a total of €2.6 million to buy.

He sold off 780,000 shares at a price of €6, above the current market value, to earn €4.68 million.
