In 2013, the iPhone 5S and its cheaper counterpart the 5C were launched. That same year Microsoft bought Nokia; smartwatches hit the market, beginning with the Pebble; the XboxOne and the PlayStation 4 were released within weeks of each other; Twitter opened on the stock market with a €30 billion valuation, and Snapchat was dubbed the breakout consumer product of the year.
