Radio stands firm in face of tech revolution
Despite new technologies, radio is still holding strong, writes Colette Sexton
In 2013, the iPhone 5S and its cheaper counterpart the 5C were launched. That same year Microsoft bought Nokia; smartwatches hit the market, beginning with the Pebble; the XboxOne and the PlayStation 4 were released within weeks of each other; Twitter opened on the stock market with a €30 billion valuation, and Snapchat was dubbed the breakout consumer product of the year.
