Profits surge at Irish subsidiary of high frequency trading firm Virtu
Profits rose to €8.4 million last year, up from €7.6 million in 2014
Profits at the Irish arm of Virtu, the US high frequency trading firm that counts Charlie McCreevy among its directors, jumped to €8.4 million last year, newly-filed accounts show.
The increase in profits, up from €7.6 million in 2014, comes on the back of a near 25 per cent leap in revenues at the company, which moved its European trading operations to Dublin in 2013.
