Profit & Loss: Inside the world of private Irish business
Turnover at the Irish arm of A&F Hollister – the company behind Abercrombie and Fitch – dropped from €11.4 million to €9.9 million in year to the end of February 2018.
The company also slashed its expenses from €11 million to €9.5 million in the same period, dropping its pre-tax profits from €325,409 to €211,624. This pushed accumulated profits from €1.3 million to €1.6 million. The company employed 178 people, down from 220 the year before, though its wage bill rose from €1.58 million to €1.59 million.
