Profit & Loss inside the world of Irish private business

Dunnes Stores’ Northern arm had a loss of £23.05 million in 2017, up from a loss of £5.13 million the year before. The loss drove its accumulated profits from £75.7 million to £48 million.

The loss came despite its turnover rising from £113.43 million from £99.85 million. The company paid out a dividend of £4.79 million, compared to £250.84 million the year before.
