Profit & Loss: Inside the world of private Irish companies

Former Irish rugby captain Paul O’Connell’s Nellcon saw its accumulated profits rise from €1.3 million to €1.5 million in 2017.

The accounts show that €979,000 of that is cash, down from €1.2 million the year before, with €660,758 in receivables.

The company had a profit for the year of €190,185.

O’Connell received €93,583 in directors’ pay from the company, while the company owes him €78,840.
