Mayo owners of Westport House set to take 6 per cent slice of Australian work gear market

Portwest, the clothing company owned by new Westport House owners the Hughes family, is set to close a deal to buy an Australian workwear maker.

The Mayo dynasty is buying Prime Mover Workwear, which has $15 million annual sales, to add to its €126 million global clothing operation.

The Australian company holds 6 per cent of that country’s lucrative workwear market, supplying mining and other heavy industries.
