Portuguese super agent’s €100m dividends come from Irish firm

An Irish company related to Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes has paid out nearly €100 million in dividends since it was formed in 2004.

Gestifute International is 95 per cent controlled by Mendes, who represents football stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho, and it has paid annual dividends to its shareholders as well as nearly €5 million in dividends to directors associated with the company, including Mendes’s nephew Luís Correia.
