The EU27 last week granted Britain a three-month extension to the Brexit deadline

Protesters from both sides of the Brexit divide gathered outside Westminster on Halloween to mark the day when Boris Johnson had vowed that Britain would leave the EU “do or die”.

Placards from Remainers included “Nobody born this century voted for Brexit”, “Revoke, remain, reunite” and “Brexit: not going well, is it?”. Leave demonstrators countered with: “No surrender to EUSSR”, “Liberate democracy” and “Our parliament is no longer fit for purpose”.
