Pepper claims state agency published business secrets amid tax row

The debt servicing fund had sought to carry over losses contained in a mortgage book it bought from GE Ireland and offset them against future tax

Pepper, the multibillion euro debt servicing fund, accused a state agency of publishing “confidential and commercially sensitive information” on a failed €130 million tax reduction plan during heated exchanges last year.

It occured after the Tax Appeals Commission (TAC), which adjudicates on cases between taxpayers and the Revenue Commissioners, published a decision on its website relating to Pepper Ireland last year.
