Mrs Watanabe is the fictional Japanese housewife who manages the family finances for millions of Japanese families.

More than just a keeper of the household budget, however, she is also a small retail investor who takes a small amount of her family’s money and speculates on the financial markets in small, low-risk investments that produce a greater income.
