Parents to benefit from new flexible working rules

The EU Parliament has recently approved a proposal for an EU directive on work-life balance.

Through this it proposes to introduce new rights regarding parental leave, put paternity and carer’s leave entitlements on an equal footing across the EU and, importantly, extend the scope of the right to flexible working arrangements for employees returning from parental leave.
