The European Commission has revised Ireland’s predicted gross domestic product growth upwards to 7.2 per cent for 2021. Growth of only 4.6 per cent had been predicted by the Commission but due to strong economic performances, this was revised. The growth is the second highest predicted in Europe, just after Romania’s predicted 7.4 per cent growth.
