Online medicines log keeps farming sector up to speed on herd welfare

Waterford start-up Virtual Vet has built an online platform that acts as a virtual drug book for beef and dairy farmers, allowing them to record antibiotics, parasite controls and other treatments administered to animals in their herd.

Virtual Vet was established three years ago by Sinead Quealy and Toby Mottram, a professor at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester in England, specialising in agricultural engineering.
