Newstalk worth up to €35 million, says report from BDO

Newstalk, the radio station controlled by Denis O’Brien, could be worth as much as €35 million, according to a report by accountants BDO.

The report was commissioned by one of the station’s minority shareholders, Hyper Trust, which has since been put into examinership in a move that effectively puts its 19 per cent stake in the station up for grabs.
