New device aims to make taking blood samples easier
A passion for learning set Cork-based entrepreneur Marie Casey on the path to developing a medical device that could ease the discomfort of hospital patients undergoing blood tests.
An industrial engineer, Casey went on to complete a higher diploma in health, safety and welfare at work, followed by a masters degree in public health at University College Cork, before joining the biochemistry department at the city’s Mercy University Hospital.
