New agri fund to back start-ups feeding the world

Irish agriculture investor Aidan Connolly has launched a new fund aimed at supporting the growth of start-ups that can help feed a potential global population of ten billion people by 2050. Previously Connolly was chief innovation officer and vice-president with Alltech, with whom he spent 28 years, living in seven countries.

According to Connolly, AgriTech Capital will eschew the path taken by “traditional agri-funds”.
