The poor folks of Pyeongchang are really working hard to make sure y’all know it’s not Pyongyang. The South Korean city is host to this year’s Winter Olympics, kicking off today, whereas Pyongang is the capital of North Korea. Such is the confusion that city officials have taken to capitalising the middle c to read PyeongChang.
There’s oodles to watch out for in the games this year. As ever,Ireland will need unthinkable miracles to come back with a medal. Until the IOC comes up with the Wet and Windy Olympics, our best hopes will always be in boxing rings during the summer.
