Mont Beer to build €3.5 million brewery in Blessington

Mont Beer, the Wicklow-based brewing firm, is planning to raise €3.5 million to build a new brewery in Blessington.

The brewery is currently located in the bell tower of Kilbridge Manor on Sallygap Road, near the source of the Liffey. The manor was built in 1832.

Michael Cowan, Mont Beer’s founder and the former head of marketing at Red Bull Ireland, said he was planning to invest €650,000 in the brand over the next 12 months....
