Minister sees no issue with O’Brien firm involvement in broadband bid

Supplying broadband to rural Ireland is priority says Ring, who invites others to enter the fray

Minister for Rural Affairs Michael Ring has said he has no objection to businessman Denis O’Brien being involved in the national broadband contract.

The Oireachtas public accounts committee (PAC) is to examine the tender process which has reduced to a single bid from a consortium involving one of O’Brien’s companies.
