McGregor heading for a takedown

As he lurches from one embarrassing situation to another, Conor McGregor’s future on and off the canvas already looks like it will have a very predictable ending

The last time many saw him, all the traits that made us admire a sportsman so often lost to the vacuous hiss of gossip and celebrity were still there. The athleticism as he hurtled over the railing. The aggression with which he faced his opponent. The perseverance as he wouldn’t back down. Unfortunately for Conor McGregor, on November 11 he wasn’t supposed to be fighting. Instead, at the old Point Depot, his behaviour gave another ugly and unwanted glimpse into his potential unravelling.
