Markets want coalition to move on pre-summer AIB share sale

A decision by the government to offload a stake in AIB will be needed by April if the privatisation is to happen before the summer, market sources have told The Sunday Business Post.

Two sources said getting cabinet approval signed off as quickly as possible would assist the bank if there is an outbreak of political instability when the Taoiseach returns from his visit to Washington after the St Patrick’s Day break.
