Long-term arrears figure rising again
While the total number of householders behind with their mortgage payments has now fallen for 22 quarters in a row, the number in arrears for more than 720 days rose at the start of 2019
Figures from the Central Bank show that the number of mortgage accounts in long-term arrears has begun to creep up again, though shorter-term categories continue to decline.
