Lily O’Brien’s flies high with two-year deal to supply Etihad desserts

Kildare-based chocolatier Lily O’Brien’s has secured a two-year contract with Etihad Airways to supply desserts on board all the Gulf carrier’s flights out of Europe.

The contract, which started last Wednesday, is the company’s first contract in the Middle East.

Eoin Donnelly, managing director of Lily O’Brien’s, said three million of the company’s desserts would be served on Etihad flights over the next two years.

“Business has grown over time, but we had the capacity [in the dessert factory] to grow more, which is where Etihad come into play,” said Donnelly.
