Commercial production companies feel Dublin City Council is frustrating the industry with high fees and long waiting lists

It’s an issue that won’t go away: the high cost of commercial filming in Dublin. Ahead of a review of Dublin City Council’s filming fees, producers and location managers have urged a reduction.

The council’s charges for shooting commercials in the city are much higher than charges for shooting features and dramas, for which only nominal fees apply.
