As Cork County Sheriff, Sinead McNamara’s responsibilities include civil and Revenue debt and executing repossession orders. Appointed to the position in March 2013, she also acts as returning officer in referendums and elections.

McNamara has been a partner in the Commercial Property Department of Cork law firm FitzGerald Solicitors since 2005, advising receivers and financial institutions on debt recovery and insolvency, including their rights and obligations under charge and loan documentation.
