RTÉ sold part of its campus in Dublin 4 to Cairn Homes in 2017 for €107 million, and the lump sum is being used to fund much-needed investment in infrastructure

Studio 3, the main news studio at RTÉ, broadcasts a whopping 1,700 bulletins and programmes annually. It even made not one, but two appearances in the top ten TV programmes of 2018, when 807,600 tuned in to watch the Six One on March 1, while 707,400 tuned in to the Nine O’Clock news that day (for context, this was during the height of Storm Emma which saw the country come to a standstill).
