KBC a laggard in compensating for tracker mortgage fiasco

Three of five banks are close to 100 per cent complete with offers of compensation

KBC Bank Ireland had compensated fewer than half of its customers who have been affected by the tracker mortgage scandal by the end of March, well below the clean-up rate at other lenders.

Last week the Central Bank published its latest update on the investigation, although it only identified the banks using the letters A to E for the level of completion in terms of compensation offers.
