Expansion to Europe market on cards for revived whiskey brand dating back to 1779

The company behind a 230-year-old Irish whiskey brand is seeking €1 million from investors as it eyes up international expansion.

Kinahan’s Whiskey is looking to raise the money through the Employment and Investment Incentive Scheme, and is planning to expand to Canada, Britain and continental Europe.

Its whiskey, which is currently on sale in the US, targets the premium end of the fast-growing whiskey market.
