Irish Times staff agree to one-off payment

Eligible staff will receive the payment in their June salary

Staff at the Irish Times have voted to accept a one-off payment from the company following months of pay talks.

The Irish Times Group of Unions had been calling for full pay restoration following cuts during the recession. However, The Irish Times rejected these appeals, claiming that it was not financially viable to restore pay due to ongoing uncertainty in the media industry.
