Irish exports hit record high in April

The Irish trade surplus widened to €4.57 billion in April from €3.3 billion in March as exports rose to an all-time high, the Central Statistics Office said.

Preliminary figures showed that seasonally-adjusted exports rose by 12 per cent from March to a record €9.3 billion while imports fell by six per cent to €4.7 billion.
