Irish car market still in decline, says Fiat Chrysler as profits fall

The Irish arm of giant car maker Fiat Chrysler has complained that despite Irish GDP growing by 10.4 per cent, the automotive market has continued to decline.

It comes as the company’s profits for the year dropped from €22 million to €20.5 million in 2017.

The company reduced its costs from €21.9 million to €20.1 million in the same period, which saw its pre-tax profits rise from €99,000 to €424,000.
