Ires, the state’s largest private landlord, is eyeing major acquisitions in Cork as it seeks to expand outside Dublin.
Ires chief executive Margaret Sweeney told analysts last week the company was looking to develop in urban centres that had strong employment, good transport links, local infrastructure and “family friendly neighbourhoods” with good schools nearby.
