Ireland faces EU court action for slow recovery of Apple tax

The action is a result of the time it is taking to recover the €13 billion in illegal state aid to Apple

The state is facing another EU court action as a result of the time it is taking to recover the €13 billion in illegal state aid to Apple.

The European Commission today said it would refer Ireland to the Court of Justice in Luxembourg to speed up the recovery of the money, more than a year after the bloc’s competition czar handed down her ruling.
