IPL in acquisition talks with at least three firms

Plastics firm says it’s insulated from environmental backlash because of product range

IPL Plastics, the Irish company listed on the Toronto stock exchange, is in bilateral talks with at least three companies about possible acquisitions, according to its chief executive Alan Walsh.

Walsh told The Sunday Business Post any deals would likely be greater than $100 million in value, given the nature of the market, which would add substantially to the company’s already rapid growth.
