Inside Track: Carbon Monoxide canary campaign
Tommy McAnairey, the singing ambassador for Gas Networks Ireland’s carbon monoxide safety campaign

Some €150,000 will be spent on TV, radio and digital to promote Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week, which runs from September 21 to 27. This is a public safety message campaign managed by Gas Networks Ireland on behalf of the energy sector.

The approach is light and funny, and features the singing canary Tommy McAnairey, the campaign’s ambassador.

McAnairey will be releasing a charity single Carbon Monoxide is Lethal as Hell, on Friday to help raise awareness.
