Debtors’ rights advocate David Hall is lining up a €500 million fund to purchase vacant homes from banks that had been slated for sale to private equity funds.

Hall told The Sunday Business Post that discussions with funders for the project were well advanced. He called on lenders to remove the vacant homes, which he plans to turn into social housing, from ongoing or prospective loan sale processes.
